Abstract:
For the auto insurers, the risk landscape is also changing. The new risks such as cyber risk (with connected cars, sensors in the car, software of the car), autonomous vehicles, concept of shared vehicles (like e-scooters), etc are emerging. In such a scenario, it becomes important for the insurers to assess and cover risks appropriately. This is leading to new strategies and new ways of responding to these risks. With the emerging new technologies (smart IoT devices, predictive analytics, AI, behaviour technologies, etc) the insurers can predict with very precise models of the risk that each user is taking and can customise the premium.
